Marie Thérèse Joly was born in Clermont-Ferrand. After studies at Beaux Arts of Paris, she set out for Florence where she wins many prizes and rewards. Her favorite themes are myths, legends, personalities who haunt Italy. Her art is a transfiguration of myth in a fantastic sphere which has its roots in a deep sensibility and an intellectual participation. It makes the ancient world revive in a modern version with a very personal style. She had illustrated Ovide, Virgile and she considers antiquity as a revival.
She had displayed from North to South of Italy, from Milan to Sicile, the island of his dreams and she will go as far as Orthygie to inspired herself more with the ancient places of Great Greece. She has decorate a palace in Syracuse (Sicilia).
